The Four-Step Process

1

Confidential Chat & Profile Creation

This is where it all starts. You tell us about your dog — breed, age, personality, medical history, daily routines, and what makes them special. We also talk about your situation: why you need to rehome, your timeline, and what kind of home you're hoping for.

Everything you share stays completely confidential. We never share your personal details, your reason for rehoming, or your specific location publicly. What we do is create a detailed, honest profile of your dog that helps us find the right match.

What we discuss:

  • Your dog's temperament, likes, and dislikes
  • Health history, vaccinations, sterilisation status
  • How they interact with kids, other dogs, and cats
  • Daily routine, exercise needs, and any special requirements
  • Your ideal timeline and any flexibility
2

We Thoroughly Screen Applicants

This is where we do the heavy lifting. We handle every application that comes in for your dog, and we don't just glance at forms — we interview people, check their homes, verify their references, and assess whether they genuinely understand what your dog needs.

You won't have to deal with strangers messaging you, pushy adopters, or the anxiety of not knowing who might show up. We are the filter, the screener, and the gatekeeper.

Our screening includes:

  • Detailed application form review
  • Phone or video interviews with potential adopters
  • Home environment assessment
  • Verification of pet policies (rental agreements, body corporates)
  • Reference checks (vets, previous rescues)
3

You Approve the Match

This is the step that sets us apart. We never place your dog without your say-so. Once we've identified a family we believe is the right fit, we present their profile to you. You get to review everything we know about them before making your decision.

If you're comfortable, we arrange an introduction — a meet-and-greet where you can see how the family interacts with your dog, ask your own questions, and get a real sense of whether this is the right home. Only after your green light do we move forward.

What happens during approval:

  • We share the recommended family's profile with you
  • You have time to review and consider
  • We facilitate a meet-and-greet when you're ready
  • Only after your final approval do we proceed
4

Safe, Direct Home-to-Home Transition

Your dog moves directly from your home to their new one. There are no kennels, no cages, no shelter stays, and no periods of uncertainty in an unfamiliar environment. The transition is calm, controlled, and supported.

We're there to guide both you and the new family through this step. We help with practical things — transferring vet records, sharing feeding and medication schedules, and providing advice on helping your dog settle in. We also check in afterwards to make sure everything is going smoothly.

What we help with:

  • Scheduling a calm, unhurried handover
  • Transferring all vet records and documents
  • Sharing routine details (feeding, walks, medication)
  • Follow-up check-in with the new family

Our priority is finding the right home, not the fastest one. Some dogs are placed in days, others take a few weeks. The more notice you can give us, the wider the pool of suitable families we can find.

What You'll Need
